What makes us unique?

White horse candle co is so much more than candles. we always use safe and premium ingredients to bring you the best product, but we also created these candles to support your spirituality, health, and self-growth.  All of our candles are topped with rough cut, high grade crystals or gemstones that have each been charged by a certified Reiki healer. they also sparkle! (because who doesn't want to watch your candle melt and sparkle?) the shimmer we use in our candles comes from crushed mica, that is completely biodegradable and ethically sourced. We keep the environment and healthy harvesting at the core of everything we do, and want to leave this planet better than we found it.

What do you scent your candles with?

We scent our candles with fine fragrance oils. These fragrances are a premium blend of synthetic and natural fragrances made with sustainability in mind. they are always phthalate and non-toxic so that you can enjoy a safe, clean burning candle.

What kind of wax do you use?

​

We use a premium blend of coconut, soy, and apricot wax. We've found that this trifecta of all natural waxes come together beautifully, allowing for maximum scent throw, 50+ hours of burning time, and an esthetic for any space in your home. sure, 100% soy candles are great, but they are known for a weaker scent, and don't leave you with that same smooth top after burning.

What are your wicks made of?

​

Our wicks are made of eco-friendly, clean burning wood, and are hand crafted in the USA. These natural wood wicks will crackle and pop as they burn, reminiscent of the tiniest of bonfires.

How long can I let my candle burn?

​

The first burn of your candle is the most important. you MUST choose a time when you can let your candle burn disrupted for a minimum of 2 hours. This is extremely important, because believe it or not, candles hold memories. Yes, you read that correctly. Once you blow it out your candle, it will retain what is called "burn memory." If you do not allow your candle to create a large enough melt pool (reaching all sides of the jar), the candle will start to tunnel, leaving wax residue along the sides of the jar, and it can even start to self extinguish.

After the first burn, you can safely burn your candle for up to 3-4 hours at a time. as always, never leave a lit candle unattended.

When should I trim the wick?

​

You should trim the wick before each burn. Trim the wick a ¼ to a ½ inch. too small of a wick could cause your candle to tunnel. Too large of a wick can cause your candle to burn down too quickly, causing the wick to “dance.” This shows that the wax is not burning properly and may cause excess smoke. If this happens, blow out the candle, trim the wick, and relight your candle.

How do I retrieve my crystal from my candle?

​We have included a pair of recyclable bamboo tongs with each candle that you can use to retrieve your crystal once your candle has reached it's full burning potential. Please always use the tongs to remove the crystal, as it will be hot. 

​

Simply extinguish your candle, and using the tongs, remove the crystal from the remaining wax. you can run your crystal under hot water, and wipe with a paper towel to remove any excess wax. 

​

What is reiki & How does it work?

​As a certified reiki level 1 and 2 practitioner, we 'charge' each crystal and candle. What that means is we essentially transfer a vibe into the candle. It can be for the intentions of healing, love, gratitude and so much more. Reiki is a beautiful tool that is traditionally used as a healing modality, but in this case we're healing you through our candles & crystals

Can I recycle my jar once I finish burning my candle?

​

YES! That's the plan! we want you to be able to reuse your mason jar for whatever it is you'd like! we love to see photos of your mason jars! Tag us on instagram @whitehorsecandleco

If you don’t plan to reuse your jar, all of our packaging is 100% recyclable.
